Description

William David Davies, known as Dai Davies, was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. His career spanned from 1969 to 1987, during which he earned 52 caps for the Wales national team. Davies played for clubs such as Everton, Wrexham (twice), Tranmere Rovers, and Swansea City (in three spells). He is remembered for his clean sheet in Wales' victory over England at Wembley in 1977. Sadly, Dai Davies passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 72.
